Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha flags off two new trains from Agartala railway station

Agartala, Oct 19 (FD) In a boost to railway connectivity, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha

Today, the Agartala-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak (weekly) Express flagged off at the Agartala railway station in the virtual presence of Hon'ble Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and CM of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Saha also inaugurated another DEMU train in the Agartala Sabroom section and a newly installed escalator at the Agartala railway station.

The Chief Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very serious about development and enhancing connectivity in the north-eastern states.

“The North-East, especially Tripura, is well connected with the rest of the country by roads, railways, and by air, which paved the way for development in the region, which remained neglected for decades after independence”, he said after flagging off the trains. FD JK
