Tripura CM asks youths of stay away from drugs and focus on sports to remain fit

Agartala, Dec 23 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday called-upon youths of the state to stay away from drugs and focus on playing to remain fit.
Addressing a programme on the occasion of the last day of the month-long initiative on the way to making Nesha Mukta Tripura with the theme of Khelo Tripura Sustha Tripura at Umakanta School ground, Dr Saha said, “We know what extend the drug addiction is harmful and what happens after taking it. Already two to three generations are suffering from addiction. So we have to make sure that no future generation is affected by it.”
“Our government is working with the tagline of Sustha Tripura, if we want to achieve this goal we have to ensure that the new generation to stays away from addiction,” he added.
Dr Saha appealed the parents of the children to make sure that their children are come under the influence of good people only.
Later, the Chief Minister in presence of other dignitaries flagged off a mass rally from the school ground. The mass rally marched towards Swami Vivekananda Ground where the main programme of the Khelo Tripura Sustha Tripura would be held.
He was accompanied by Information and Cultural Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and others.
Prominent Bollywood Playback Singer Sonu Nigam will perform in the evening on the occasion at Swami Vivekananda Ground. The theme of the programme is Say No Drugs. FD PD
