Tripura Board announces details for Baachar Bachao Examination

Agartala, July 3 (FD) The Tripura Board of Madhya Shiksha Parshad has announced that 3,199 secondary and 4,236 higher secondary students will be eligible to participate in this year's Bachar Bachao examination. President Dhananjoy Ganchoudhury shared this news during a press conference held today at the Tripura Madhya Shiksha Parshad office.

All participating students must submit their application forms to their respective schools between 8th and 11th July. School authorities are then required to submit these forms to the Tripura Madhya Shiksha Parshad office between 12th and 15th July. The examination is scheduled to take place in the last week of July.

In the same press conference, Choudhury reported that following the announcement of this year’s secondary and higher secondary final exam results, a total of 2,042 students requested revaluation for their secondary exam results, resulting in changes for 747 students. Of these, 21 students who initially failed were marked as passed. For higher secondary, 1,385 students applied for revaluation, with results changing for 510 students, although no one moved from fail to pass.

Secretary Dulal Dey added that this year, 33,739 candidates appeared for the secondary exams, with 29,534 passing, resulting in an 87.54 percent pass rate. After revaluation, the total number of passing students increased to 29,555, raising the pass rate to 87.59 percent. For higher secondary, 20,095 out of 25,350 candidates passed, marking a 79.27 percent pass rate. The merit lists for both exams remained unchanged after revaluation, and the results are available on the board's website. FD SB
