Tripura bags two awards in Panchayati Raj

Agartala, Apr 9 (FD) Tripura has won two awards in Panchayati Raj, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said in a social media post.
In the social media post, Saha said, “Kumarghat Block Advisory Committee of Unokoti district has been awarded the prestigious Nanaji Deshmukh Sarbottama Panchayat Satata Vikash Puraskar with a cash incentive of Rs 1.50 Cr while Bagmara Village Committee of Gomati district under Rupaichari Block has been awarded the Carbon Neutral Vishes Panchayat Puraskar”.
These awards will be presented in New Delhi on April 24, National Panchayati Raj Day, in the presence of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
Tripura Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, expressed his delight over the state's achievement and praised the Panchayat department and representatives at all levels for their hard work and dedication towards the development of the people. He further stated that these awards reflect the state government's commitment towards the development of the people.
Tripura has been awarded at the national level for implementing Jal Jeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana after Dr. Saha became Chief Minister in May last year. FD PD
