Agartala Nov 28 (FD) Altogether 686 youths of Tripura received appointment letters during 'Rozgar Mela' organized at the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in the capital city on Monday.
Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated the Mela and West Tripura District Skill and Loan Mela where employment letters/Offer letters were distributed among the eligible candidates.
The job fair is expected to act as a catalyst to generate more employment and provide meaningful opportunities for youth empowerment and direct participation in national development, an official release said.
Addressing the event, the Chief Minister said that the BJP-led state government is working tirelessly to deliver jobs to every household and fulfill its promises to the people of the state.
“Our government is working to provide source of income, jobs for all irrespective of caste, religion by maintaining transparent process,” Dr Saha said.
He also said that his government is working with the aim of making Tripura No-1 model state in the country. In this context he mentioned the success of Gujarat model.
“We will fulfill our plan to making Tripura a No one state in the country. Therefore people have to believe on our government,” Dr Saha said.
Appreciating the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister highlighted various schemes undertaken by the state government including "Har Ghar Sushasan" and "Amar Sarkar" web-portal.
Earlier on Tuesday last 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits across the country via video conferencing were distributed under the “Rozgar Mela” launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the programme, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath stressed on the party slogans of "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Prayas" and "Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura"
Nath said, “Government jobs alone cannot completely eliminate the problem of unemployment. Each department requires manpower to run the respective department but not all.”
He also said that the entrepreneurship is the only solution to meet the unemployment crisis.
The education minister claimed that the entire recruitment process under BJP-led government is transparent and not like that of the Communist regime. One can get jobs only with proper qualification.
Besides Minister of Industry and Commerce Santana Chakma, Minister Labour Bhagaban Chandra Das also highlighted various developmental aspects of the state BJP government adding that the people of Tripura have seen development in real terms only under the ruling BJP and able leadership of the chief minister.
Apart from that J K Sinha, chief secretary, Tripura, Amitabh Ranjan, DGP, Tripura also remained present at the program. FD PD
