Tripura: 378 BJP voters join Congress

Agartala, Nov 11 (FD) Total 378 voters from 84 families left ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and joined Congress in two separate places of the state on Friday, the party leader Ashish Saha said.
Tripura Pradesh president Birajit Sinha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Szarita Laitphlang and Saha welcomed 128 voters of 34 families during a programme at Raimavelly under Gandacherra Sub-division on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, Barman said, “The country is being looted under the rule BJP, the leaders and ministers are eating away everything and the people are sucking their fingers. How many people would be fooled by them.”
Later, 250 more voters of 50 families left BJP and joined Congress at Amarpur.
The leaders along with Youth Congress president Rakhu Das welcomed the new comers during a programme organized by Amarpur block unit of Youth Congress. FD PD JK
