Agartala, May 21 (FD) In a significant step toward transparent governance, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha distributed appointment letters to 15 newly selected Food Inspectors at a special program held at Pragya Bhavan. These appointments were made through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), marking the latest recruitment under the state government’s transparent employment policy.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that 19,262 individuals, including those under the die-in-harness scheme, have been offered permanent government jobs through a fair and merit-based recruitment process since his administration assumed power. “Every job offered today is a result of individual merit and hard work. No selection was influenced by political or personal connections,” Dr. Saha stated.
The event also featured a mega blood donation camp jointly organized by the Departments of Food, Consumer Affairs, Transport, and Tourism. The CM lauded the efforts of voluntary blood donors and highlighted the importance of regular donations to maintain supply and save lives.
Dr. Saha also elaborated on initiatives to strengthen the Food Department. Over the past year, 37 LDCs and 19 MTS personnel were recruited through the JRBT, and recruitment is underway for 56 more posts including Sub-Inspectors, Storekeepers, and Guards.
