Agartala, Sep 13 (FD) Trinamool Congress MP Susmita Dev today expressed deep concern at the incidents of bringing many motorcycles having Uttar Pradesh registration numbers in the state allegedly by BJP about five months ahead of Assembly elections.
She wrote a letter to Tripura Police Chief Amitabh Ranjan demanding an inquiry into the matter.
Addressing a press conference at TMC state office here, the TMC MP cited some photographs of motor-cycles and raised question, “why the bikes having registration numbers of Uttar Pradesh were brought to the state?”
She requested police administration to immediately investigate the matter to reveal the intention behind bringing such quantities of motor-cycles into the state.
She alleged that the workers and leaders of opposition parties are continuously facing attacks by BJP backed goons.
Speaking to the media, Dev also spoke on the ‘poor’ education system of the state. She alleged that the government has failed to provide proper education and jobs to the new generation.
TMCP in-charge Neelkamal Saha, student leader Shivam Saha and others were present in the press conference.
