TISF students gathered before TBSE for introduction of Roman script for Kokborok language exams

Agartala, Mar 18 (FD) Tripura Indigenous Students Federation (TISF) on Tuesday expressed their deep grief against the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) and the state government for not introducing Roman script for the Kokborok languages.

The members of the organisation today made a gathering before the TBSE and demanded for immediately introducing Roman script for Kokborok language in the Secondary and the Higher Secondary examinations.

“We have submitted several deputations to the state government and the TBSE for introduction of Roman scripts for Kokborok language but they never paid heed to our demand. The students of our community cannot read Bengali scripts properly. So, we demanded for Roman scripts”, said a member of the TISF.

The Chief Minister and President of TBSE were playing with the sentiments of the students, but it is not acceptable to us, they said. FD JK
