TIPS hosts health day, highlights community care and education

Agartala, Apr 7 (FD) The Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS), located in the Hapania area of Agartala, joyfully observed World Health Day 2025 on April 7 through a series of impactful programmes. Organized by the Department of Hospital Management, the event included vibrant awareness sessions focusing on the basics of health care and the importance of community health services. Both students and faculty members actively participated in the celebrations, showcasing their commitment to promoting public health awareness.
Established in 2009 as a joint initiative of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, TIPS is affiliated with Tripura Central University and the Indian Nursing Council. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in nursing and paramedical sciences, shaping the future of healthcare in the region.
TIPS maintains corporate partnerships with over 200 esteemed healthcare institutions across India, including Apollo Hospitals, Manipal Group, NH Hospitals, HCG Hospitals, Max Hospitals, and others. Notably, academic collaborations extend to institutions like Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (India), Manipal Hospital (Sikkim), Lions Eye Hospital (Silchar), and ILS Hospitals, among many more.
Students from over 17 states and union territories across the country are currently enrolled at TIPS. Graduates from the institute are making their mark in reputed hospitals and healthcare organizations both in India and abroad. The institute’s dedicated faculty and staff continue to uphold its vision of excellence, making TIPS a shining beacon in paramedical education. FD SB
