There should be a separate guidelines for the North East: Amit Shah

Agartala, Dec 20 (FD) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday made an appeal to the bankers to formulate separate guidelines of sanctioning loans to the people of the North-East.

While addressing the bankers here in its conclave, Shah said, “There should be a separate guideline for the people of north eastern region. The guidelines are formed by the RBI, NABARD and other banks with regards to MSME. But how those guidelines can be utilized for the north east? There should be separate guidelines”.

He said the north eastern region is the best place for investments and it would be the best place for business also, so a separate guideline for them would help people there.

Developments should reach to the north east through banks as it is a lucrative place for business, Shah said.

The union Home Minister said that the region would be the gateway of economic developments as it is the lucrative place for investments and developments. FD JK
