Agartala, July 12 (FD) Ten Bangladeshi nationals were arrested in two separate incidents in Tripura, official sources said.
When seven Bangladeshis including four women and three men were arrested from the Agartala railway station, three other Bangladeshis were arrested from the Sabroom railway station on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of GRP raided the rail station and arrested seven Bangladeshis including four women, who wanted to go to different Indian cities.
Officer-in-charge of the Agartala GRP police station, T Das said acting on a tip-off, they raided the railway station and arrested them as they had no valid travel documents.
He said, in the last two months 105 Bangladeshis, who entered Indian territory without valid documents were arrested.
Meanwhile, sources in the BSF said, in a joint raid with Tripura police they arrested three Bangladeshis and an Indian tout.
BSF officials said after they arrested the Bangladeshis, they during preliminary interrogation revealed the name of the Indian tout, who collaborated with them.
The tout was identified as Thakai Mog, who was arrested from his home at the Doulbari village in Sabroom on Thursday.
The seven Bangladeshi nationals arrested at the Agartala railway station were identified as Ibrahim Hossain, 24, from Kalaroa district, Safikul Islam, 32, Musamed Salina Begam, 22, (along with her 5-year old son Samim Reze), Md Shimul Hossain, 28, – all from Satkhira district, Nur Nahar Juma, 23, from Pabna district, Taslima Kanum, 24, from Narail and Meenu Khatun, 19, from Khulna district of Bangladesh.
