TCPCR inspects schools to ensure students' safety during admissions

Agartala, Apr 10 (FD) As the school admission season gains momentum, the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TCPCR) has initiated visits to schools across the state to ensure the physical and mental well-being of students.
On Thursday, the Commission visited a private school in Narsinghgarh under the Mohanpur Subdivision. The visit aimed to evaluate safety arrangements and institutional practices being followed during the current admission period.
TCPCR Chairperson Jayanti Debbarma, accompanied by other Commission officials, interacted with the school management on several issues, particularly focusing on student safety and a stress-free educational environment.
Speaking to the media, Debbarma emphasized the need for secure and supportive learning spaces. She pointed out the importance of reducing the burden of heavy school bags and urged schools to create a more child-friendly atmosphere.
Highlighting transportation concerns, she recommended that school buses maintain regulated speeds and be equipped with security personnel to safeguard students during transit.
The Chairperson also shared constructive feedback with school authorities and urged them to prioritize child safety across all aspects of schooling.
She reiterated the Commission's commitment to continuously monitor school practices and ensure that every child learns in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. FD SB
