TBSE ‘Save Year’ Exam Results Announced; Madhyamik, HS Pass Percentages Improve

Agartala, July 30 (FD) The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Thursday declared the results of the 'Save Year' examinations for 2026, formerly known as the compartmental or supplementary examinations.
Announcing the results at a press conference held at the TBSE headquarters, Board President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury said the examinations had helped improve the overall pass percentages in both the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (HS) examinations.
According to the results, 239 additional candidates cleared the Madhyamik examination, raising the overall pass percentage from 84.18 per cent to 84.93 per cent.
Similarly, 350 more candidates passed the Higher Secondary (Class XII) examination, increasing the overall pass percentage from 79.33 per cent to 80.65 per cent.
Dr. Chowdhury also informed that 66 schools achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in both the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations.
In Standard Mathematics, considered one of the most challenging subjects, 36 out of 39 candidates who appeared in the Save Year examination were declared successful.
TBSE Secretary Jaydeep Bhattacharjee and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Neelmadhav Saha were also present at the press conference.
With the declaration of the Save Year examination results, the TBSE examination calendar for 2026 has officially concluded. FD JK
