Sudip Roy Barman exposes land scam at Bishalgarh

Agartala, Mar 28 (FD) The Congress legislator Sudip Roy Barman expressed his surprise, when the department of Revenue, held by the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha expressed its inability to reply answers of queries put forwarded by him.
He said, he had deposited his queries about Rs. 500 crore scams on grabbing of lands and recoding in government documents by way of forgeries by a group of advocates and government officials well before time, but just before half an hour an official letter was served to him that this queries can not be replied in the assembly.
When the assembly started he asked the Chief Minister how the assembly could defy his questions.
Chief Minister in his replies said that he was not aware of the incidents and would definitely look into the matters.
Roy Barman then divulged the entire episode to the media stating that the huge land scam occurred in Sepahijala district in which leaders of the ruling BJP’s Mandal, a group of advocates and two employees of the state revenue department were involved in the scam.
The caucus managed to show the government lands as private lands and also managed to show tea garden lands and enemy properties as their own lands. And for these acts of deeds, they could temper the government records.
He said the total amount of about Rs. 500 crores were involved in the scam and the then District Magistrate of Sepahijala, Vishal kumar tried to investigate the matter and he was transferred to West Tripura even before his tenure expired there.
Roy Barman further alleged that same kinds of things are also happening at Agartala, but the state administration kept a blind eye. FD JK
