Agartala, Apr 29 (FD) Successful implementation of government development programmes depends on government officials as they play an important role in ensuring people's rights, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has said on Friday.
Addressing the Civil Service Award-2023 programme held at Pragya Bhavan on Friday, “The Chief Minister said that the employees of the state are very responsible. Due to this responsible attitude, it is possible to implement- various public welfare schemes of the government rapidly.”
He advised everyone to work together as a family to ensure people’s benefits from government schemes.
The Chief Minister also said that the employees should do such work for which people will remember them in the future through their work.
He said, this year the main idea of Civil Service Day is "Developed India".
The Chief Minister said that the future of Tripura is very bright in the coming days. In this context, he highlighted public welfare-oriented schemes such as 'Prati Ghare Sushason' campaign.
He said that at present jackfruit, tamarind, lemon, and pineapple produced in the state are being exported to foreign countries.
Various projects based on bamboo are being taken up in the state, Dr Saha added.
Speaking about the future plan of the government he said that initiatives would be taken to develop industries based on gas in the state. The Chief Minister said that today Tripura is not lagging behind any state in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary JK Sinha said that the trend of development is continuous and dynamic. It is everyone's responsibility to maintain this momentum, he added.
The Chief Secretary highlighted the main objective of Civil Service Day. On the occasion, civil service awards were given under different categories to various government departments. Ranging from District, block, gazetted officer, and non-gazetted officers were awarded.
