State Tourism Minister meets union civil aviation minister in Delhi

New Delhi, March 3 (FD) Tripura state Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury demanded immediate declaration of the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) airport as an international airport.

He made this demand when he met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu in New Delhi today.

The other demands he placed to the Union Minister are introduction of direct flights from Agartala to Mumbai, increase the number of flights between Delhi and Agartala route.

He also highlighted the financial burden on air travelers due to rising airfares and requested the union minister to interfere into the matter.

Chowdhury further informed that the union minister had assured him of visiting the abandoned Kailashahar airport and interfere for regulation of the airfare. FD JK
