State-of-the-Art Data Centre Inaugurated to Strengthen Water Resource Management in Tripura

Agartala, May 16 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art State Data Centre at the Bishveshvaraiya Complex in Kunjaban, aimed at strengthening groundwater monitoring, river water level assessment, flood control and overall water resource management in the state.
The facility has been established under the initiative of the Irrigation (Water Resources) Department of the Tripura government as part of efforts to modernise the state’s water management infrastructure through advanced te
chnology.
Addressing the inaugural programme, the Chief Minister said the technology-driven initiative would enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in managing water resources while also improving public service delivery.
He noted that the new centre would support scientific monitoring and data-based decision-making, enabling authorities to respond more effectively to water-related challenges, including floods and groundwater management.
Saha also congratulated officials, engineers and all stakeholders associated with the successful implementation of the project.
According to the state government, the data centre is expected to play a crucial role in real-time monitoring of groundwater and river conditions, strengthening flood management systems and facilitating better planning, conservation and utilisation of water resources across Tripura. FD JK
