Six Bangladeshis including five women arrested in Tripura MBB Airport

Agartala, Apr 28 (FD) Police has arrested six Bangladeshi nationals including five women from the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport premises for illegally entering into Indian Territory without any valid documents
Officer in-charge of Airport Police Station Suman Singha said a mobile police patrol party noticed six persons inside the MBB airport premises were loitering in suspicious circumstances on Thursday and detained them.
The Official said that they admitted they were Bangladeshi nationals who gained illegal access inside the Indian Territory.
They were identified as Khaleda Begum, Munni Begam, Doli Begum, Zinnat Begum, Tania Begum and Ahad Hussein. They hail from Comilla, Kaliganj and Jessore districts of Bangladesh.
Many mobile phones which have Indian SIM cards were also confiscated from their possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that they came from Feni districts of the neighboring country and entered through the South Tripura district.
They were waiting to travel to Bengaluru in search of work.
Tripura shares an 856 km long international border with Bangladesh, parts of which are still unfenced due to local disputes. FD JK
