SHGs Key to Women’s Empowerment, Says Karnataka Governor

Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot has highlighted the crucial role of self-help groups (SHGs) in empowering women and driving grassroots development. Speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of Navodaya self-help groups in Mangaluru today, he praised the transformative impact of these groups in rural areas and lauded women’s growing participation across various sectors. The governor noted their significant contributions to family welfare and urged SHG members to make full use of government schemes aimed at fostering financial independence.
