Sharad Samman-2023 of Swami Vivekananda Club and city-based southern region clubs

Agartala, Oct 30 (FD) Clubs are not only for entertainment. Clubs are now playing an important role in social service, sports and cultural activities. Clubs play an important role in our social system.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this last evening while inaugurating Swami Vivekananda Club's Sharad Samman-2023 titled 'Amar Para Sera Para' at North Badharghat in Agartala.. The Chief Minister also inaugurated second Sharad Samman programme at Arundhatinagar School ground last evening.
The Chief Minister said on the occasion that an atmosphere of healthy culture has been created in the clubs of the state. Clubs are also playing an important role in social change. He said, "There has been a lot of change in the club culture. A healthy atmosphere and mentality has developed. Nowadays, the clubs are engaging themselves in various social and cultural activities. The clubs are also taking various roles in solving people's problems.
The Chief Minister said in the past it was seen that there was always an atmosphere of panic in the clubs. There were differences between clubs but during the tenure of the current government, a good relationship has developed between different clubs. Chief Minister further said on the occasion that currently 18 express trains are running between different states of the country. There is now an atmosphere of peace and harmony in the state. Foreign investors are showing interest in setting up industries in the state.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that in the future, with the collective efforts of everyone; Ek Tripura Shreshtha Tripura shall emerge. MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta, Corporator Sampa Sarkar Chowdhury, Southern Zone Chairman of Agartala Municipal Corporation Abhijit Mallik, Social worker Sanjay Saha, Social worker Asim Bhattacharya and others were also present at the programme.
President of Swami Vivekananda Club Saryu Chakraborty gave the welcome speech. 17 clubs and social organizations of the southern part of the city were honoured at the programme. The Chief Minister along with other guests felicitated the clubs by presenting mementos.
