Shah virtually inaugurates the accommodations for BGF at Agartala land port

Agartala, Dec 20 (FD) In an effort to enhance the welfare and operational capabilities of the Indian Border Guarding Forces (BGF), the Union Home Minister Amit Shah today virtually inaugurated the accommodations virtually at the Agartala Land Port.
Shah arrived here today in an Indian Air Force plane to chair the 72th Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC).
These accommodations were created for the BGFs for better border guarding. The approval of the accommodations was approved in December 2018 with an amount of Rs.55 crores.
The BSF jawans in the Agartala land port has got the accommodations in an area of 8093.7 square meters, where eight women jawans, an officer’s block, residential facilities for five officers and 16 subordinate officers. FD JK
