Senior TCS officer Krishanu De passes away in Calcutta, mourned by colleagues and officials

Agartala, May 12 (FD) Krishanu De, a senior TCS officer and deputy registrar of the cooperative department, passed away in Calcutta's Apollo Gleneagles hospital this morning after battling acute pneumonia and pancreatitis. Survived by his wife, who is an officer of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and two twin children, Krishanu was the son of the late Dr. K.B. De, a renowned doctor and popular medicine specialist.
During his tenure as a TCS officer, Krishanu De worked as a BDO (Teliamura) and deputy collector in charge of the tribal welfare department in Jirania block, earning a reputation as an honest and upright officer. He was the son of the renowned doctor and popular medicine specialist, the late Dr. K.B. De.
The chief secretary, J.K. Sinha, visited Krishanu De during his treatment in Kolkata to inquire about his condition. The TCS Officers Association has conveyed its condolences to his family and is preparing to accord him a suitable funeral before cremation.
