Santana Chakma chairs special meeting on Development Works in Unakoti District

Agartala, Sept 9 (FD) Tripura’s Industry and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma on Friday emphasized that all developmental initiatives in the state are being carried out by prioritizing people’s needs. Speaking at a special meeting of the Pecharthal BAC, she highlighted the government’s vision of building a “Developed India” by 2047 through proper implementation of multiple welfare and infrastructure projects.
Minister Chakma said both the central and state governments are working towards ensuring that schemes reach every section of society, including the most marginalized communities. She urged officials and public representatives to closely monitor the execution of projects so that intended beneficiaries are not deprived. “Only when projects are effectively implemented at the grassroots level will the vision of inclusive development be realized,” she stated.
The special meeting at Pecharthal BAC Hall discussed the progress of various ongoing projects, approval of new proposals, and the resolution of hurdles that were delaying certain works. The meeting was chaired by Minister Chakma and attended by Pecharthal BAC Chairman Sajal Chakma, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) CEO T.K. Chakma, Unakoti District Magistrate Dr. Tamal Majumder, Kumarghat Sub-Divisional Magistrate N.S. Chakma, BDO Omkar Deb, and other officials from different departments.
During the session, BDO Omkar Deb made a detailed PowerPoint presentation showcasing development activities in the block. TRLM CEO T.K. Chakma also shared future plans aimed at enhancing the economic activities of self-help groups.
Minister Chakma concluded by stressing timely completion of unfinished development works and quick redressal of people’s problems, instructing officials to work in coordination to achieve tangible results for the community. FD SB
