Saha: New Criminal Laws Ensure Justice Without Delay or Hassle

Agartala, Sept 10 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday said, three laws and Indian Justice Code (BNS) 2023 have been launched by the Government of India to increase the value of the judicial system and ensure more transparency and speed in the process.
Addressing a gathering at the state level exhibition on new criminal laws here at the Hapaniya Indoor Exhibition hall he said, if justice is delayed, justice denied and the union government launched the new criminal laws to increase the value of the judicial system and ensure more transparency and speed in the process.
“Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, three revolutionary laws and Indian Justice Code (BNS) 2023 have been launched”, he said in a facebook post.
He inaugurated state level exhibition related to new criminal law and wished the overall success of this initiative.
Stating the laws as revolutionary, Saha said, the laws have brought more ease in the lives of people as they can now file FIR through electronic media from his home or without going to the police station and police is bound to provide them the receipt of the FIR without any cost.
The laws have provided many preferences to the women and children in many ways and also provided the right of laws to the people of the third gender, he added.
Saha said, “Our government wants to provide better to the people and delivery justice. We are duty bound to fulfill the wishes of the common people”. FD JK
