Ruling BJP gears up for organizational elections in Tripura

Agartala, Oct 21 (FD) Amid the massive membership drive of the Tripura unit of the ruling BJP, the saffron party is also gearing up for the organizational elections in Tripura, party sources said.
State Media-in-charge, Sunit Sarkar said the party's national returning officer K Laxman has appointed senior leader of the party, Samarendra Chandra Deb as the returning officer for the organizational elections in Tripura and state general secretary Bipin Debbarma and MLA Malina Debnath were appointed as co-returning officers for the organisational elections.
Sarkar said the process for party’s organizational elections would be started next month after the membership drive ends in October and the schedule for the organisational elections is yet to be finalized.
Meanwhile, the chief minister Dr Manik Saha who has been taking an active part in the ongoing enrollment of membership of BJP on Monday said, “We were given a target of enrolling 12 lakh party members and we have already registered 6 lakh members; the target is all set to be fulfilled and BJP will continue to expand its support base”.
The people of Tripura as well as of whole country have resolute faith in the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is evident from the outcomes of successive elections in Tripura as well as in different parts of the country and this will be repeated in upcoming elections in various states also.
The membership enrollment drive of the BJP has been going on all over the state for the last month and the chief minister has been taking the principal role alongside leaders and workers of the party. He said that 6 lakh people have already enrolled themselves as BJP members online and in offline enrollment is counted it will be much more and state BJP will fulfill the target. FD JK
