Royal scion, Pradyot Manikya announces to retire from politics

Agartala, Feb 14 (FD) In a significant development, Royal scion and Supremo of Tipra Motha Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma today announced to give-up politics.

Debbarma, who is adorable to the indigenous people of the state as ‘Bubagra’ or the king said “This is my last fight; this will be my last political speech; after today, people will not see Bubagra in politics”.

He gave his last speech to the people at Charilam as the place is very special to him from where he started his political career.

“I am sad, this is my last speech for you people, do it from Charilam, because this place is very special to me. Many people don't know that my political career started in Charilam, and that's where I give my last and final speech to you”, he said in moist eye.

With a heavy heart, the royal scion said some times he feels lonely when common people helped him, but not the leaders of his own party.

“Many times I felt alone, my leader did not help me, you people helped me. When party leaders did not get the ticket, many leaders cheated me, left the party, and then joined the BJP, but our people did not cheat me. And my Bengali brothers, I am not a giant, BJP people are giants”, Bubagra said. FD SB JK
