Road mishap, one killed three injured

Agartala, Apr 1 (FD) In a road mishap, a driver and three accompanying labourers have died at Nepaltilla area of Malaynagar under Srinagar police station, about 25 km from here.

Police said a speeding truck carrying high loads of sand suddenly fell into a 40-feet deep gorge and the driver, identified as Rakesh Debnath (38) died on the spot yesterday and the three labourers sustained severe injuries.

The labourers are being treated in hospital.

The driver was pulled out by a crane and taken to GBP hospital, where the doctors declared brought dead.

The labourers are being treated in Tripura Medical College. FD JK
