Rajib Bhattacharjee meets Tipra Motha supremo

Agartala, Aug 31 (FD)The President of the Tripura unit of the ruling  BJP, Rajib Bhattacharjee who is also the party’s candidate for the Rajay Sabha election made a courtesy visit to the Raj andar of the royal ‘Ujjayanta Palace’ and met ‘Tipra Motha’ supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma.
Even as he did not make any announcement about the purpose of his visit, it is presumed that the discussion took place on the one point agenda of the upcoming Rajyasabha elections to be held on September 3.
In the sixty-member state assembly BJP has a majority of 33 seats while the ‘Tipra Motha’ has 13 members. The opposition CPI (M) has 11 members while the Congress has only 3 members.
When Bhattacharjee has no risk as the two loksabha MPs, who are also from BJP, but to avoid any risk he sought the cooperation from the Tipra Motha, which is also an ally of the ruling BJP. FD JK
