Puducherry continues to witness moderate rainfall and winds as Cyclone Fengal approaches landfall, with sea conditions remaining rough.

Authorities are maintaining a state of high alert, with all departments instructed to remain vigilant. Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, Legislative Assembly Speaker R. Selvam, and the District Collector visited coastal and rain-affected areas to review the situation.

To enhance emergency preparedness and ensure public safety, a 24/7 control room has been established, providing assistance through helpline numbers 112, 1077, and WhatsApp number 9488981017.

Over 2,000 people have been accommodated in relief camps where food and other necessities are being provided. Additional food supplies are being arranged, and community kitchens have been set up to serve meals to those affected.
