Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Tripura by October end

Agartala, Oct 18 (FD): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tripura by end of this month to inaugurate dwelling units rolled out under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) apart from few other projects.
Modi would also visit Arunachal Pradesh during his NE tour this time, the CM said.
Speaking to reporters in the sidelines of a programme here this afternoon, CM Saha said the PM is scheduled to visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura on either of October 27 or 28th.
"We have just got information. He is scheduled to visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. If he goes to Arunachal Pradesh first, he will come here on the 28th. If he comes to Tripura first, he will come here on the 27th, and he'll go to Arunachal later. Either 27th or 28th, he will come here on either of the dates", Saha said.
On the Prime Minister's visit schedule, the CM said he would be inaugurating dwelling houses to be rolled out as part of PMAY benefit.
"PMAY benefits are rolled out in three stages. He's coming for Griha Pravesh or inauguration of the houses which have been completed", CM Saha said.
Meanwhile, sources in the ruling BJP said the Prime Is likely to meet members of the cabinet and state level leaders of the ruling party during his visit.
