Prestigious SKOCH award comes to Tripura

Agartala, Mar 20 (FD) Prestigious SKOCH award 2025 has come to the state with the active involvement of the state’s Biotechnology department which presented a project – College Biotechnology Club Project.
State Science, Technology and Environment minister Animesh Debbarma in a press conference said that the prestigious award could come to the state due to the hard works by Anjan Sengupta, a bio-technologist working in the department of Science and Technology.
He said altogether 27 states had participated, which submitted 400 projects of which Tripura’s College Biotechnology Club Project could wrest the award, which is a matter of pride for Tripura.
The award would be presented on March 29 in a function in New Delhi.
The state’s Biotechnology department had owned the SKOCH silver award in 2022 for its Bio-village 2.0 project and the state is now implementing 24 Bio-Village 2.0 projects in the current year. FD JK
