President Murmu, VP Radhakrishnan, PM Modi congratulate India’s CWG 2026 medal-winning athletes

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan has congratulated weightlifter Lovepreet Singh for winning the silver medal in the men’s 110+ kg weightlifting event and athlete Seema Kaliramna for winning the bronze medal in the women’s discus throw event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. In a social media post, Mr. Radhakrishnan stated that these achievements have brought honor to the country and will inspire countless young athletes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Seema Kaliramna for securing Bronze medal in the Women’s Discus Throw event in Commonwealth Games 2026, with a best throw of 58.65 meter. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that her efforts have made India proud and motivated the youth of the nation. He wished her for the endeavours ahead.
