Agatala, Jan 7 (FD) BJP’s Ratha Yatra from Sabroom today arrived at Melaghar, a place known for ‘Jagannath’s rath on the third day of its launch simultaneously from two ends of the state – North Tripura district and South Tripura district.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik participated in the Rath Yatra when it reached Sonamua subdivision of Sipahijala district.
“The 2018 election was an election of freedom and independence, and the ensuing 2023 elections will be the election of mending the future of Tripura”, Bhowmick said, while addressing the rally at Dhanpur area, where she hails from.
Bhoumik said the people of Sonamura will not repeat their 2018 mistake in the ensuing 2023 polls and appealed to the voters to support BJP in the ensuing assembly election.
Taking a swipe at the opposition CPIM party, she said, Communist Party is a machine to keep people poor.
She also slammed opposition leader Manik Sarkar for his remark on the MBB International Airport and claiming that the airport was the result of Communist regime.
However, the parliamentarian claimed that the airport was a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s effort.
She hailed the Modi-led BJP government for providing several humanitarian aids during the period of Corona pandemic and other developmental initiatives. FD PD JK
