Pradyot and Kriti meet Amit Shah

Agartala, Dec 9 (FD) Tripura’s royal scion and Supremo of Tipra Motha, Pradyot Kishore Debbarman and the his elder sister, Kriti Debi Singh, a member of parliament from East Tripura constituency on Monday met the union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and discussed on the issues like Tiprasa accord, border fencing with Bangladesh and 125th Constitutional Amendment.
In a social media post, Pradyot wrote, “Met the Hon Home Minister of India along with my sister today. We discussed the tiprasa accord, patrolling of the border with Bangladesh, implementation of the 125th amendment in the Council areas . The Home minister will be visiting Tripura during this month and is keen on resolving issues related to the indigenous people of the state and region”.
Pradyot further stated that the MP from East Tripura had submitted a letter to the Union Home Minister about 125th amendment of the Indian constitution for greater autonomy of the district councils in the north eastern states.
He further mentioned that a recent meeting in Delhi witnessed representatives from the sixth schedule districts of the region and spoke about their grievances.
He added that a three-member committee was formed to address the issues and to increase financial autonomy and socio economic developments in the region. FD JK
