Prachya Bharati wins 75th Anniversary Cricket Tournament by 4 Runs

Agartala, Dec 7 (FD) Dhaleswar Prachya Bharati School celebrated its 75th anniversary with an exciting inter-school 9-a-side cricket competition, held as part of year-long festivities. The tournament, featuring 12 schools, commenced on November 26, 2023, on the school grounds.
The final match saw Prachya Bharati Higher Secondary School competing against Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School. Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee graced the occasion, adding to the enthusiasm of the event.
Batting first, Prachya Bharati posted a total of 89 runs for 5 wickets in 7 overs, with Ariful Islam shining as the top scorer with an unbeaten 48 runs. In response, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School scored 85 runs for 3 wickets in the same number of overs, falling short by just 4 runs.
The thrilling victory crowned Prachya Bharati as the tournament champion. Following the match, distinguished guests awarded trophies to the champion team and runners-up, marking a memorable highlight in the school's anniversary celebrations. FD SB
