Post-poll violence: BJP local leader attacked at Sutarmura

Agartala, Feb 20 (FD) Post poll violence continues in Tripura, where elections for the sixty-member assembly has concluded on February 16 last.

In a fresh attack, a gang of miscreants of ‘Tipra Motha’ party today attacked one Ratan Debbarma, a leader of the BJP’s tribal wing the ‘Jana Jati Morcha’, in Sutarmura area under Bishalgarh subdivisional police station.

Ratan Debbarma had gone to bring his son from school but on his way back home he was attacked by a gang of ‘Tipra Motha’ mischief makers, who beat him severely. Ratan was rescued by local people and had to undergo treatment in Bishalgarh hospital. He is now recovering from his injuries inflicted by the ‘Motha’ miscreants who had attacked him. FD JK
