Agartala, July 9 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday said the state government is committed to the overall development of the state following the guidance from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is working relentlessly for development of the country.
Laying the foundation stone for the renovation and beautification of three water bodies at Shivbari Premises on Central Road in Agartala today, Dr. Saha said, the state has achieved incredible success in various fields, including health, education, communication, and sports.
The state government will not tolerate any kind of politics or differences in the implementation of development programs, he said. The foundation stones laid today are for the Central Road Pond, Ujan Abhaynagar Bazar Reservoir and Ujan Abhaynagar Veterinary Hospital Reservoir.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister mentioned that the renovation and beautification of many water bodies in Agartala city have already been completed under the Smart City project.
He urged citizens to be aware of maintaining the water bodies that have been beautified through government initiatives. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of keeping Agartala city clean.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister also announced that due to the sincere efforts of the current government, important operations such as kidney transplants have commenced in the state from today. The state government has signed an agreement with Srija Hospital and Research Center for kidney transplantation in the state.
Furthermore, due to the development of health services in the state, successful surgeries for many complex diseases are now possible. The Chief Minister stated that the current state government is working transparently in all aspects to address the problems of the people. The government is ensuring transparency in disbursing the benefits of various government schemes to the beneficiaries, including providing employment opportunities for children.
Agartala Pur Nigam Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta stated on the occasion that development activities are ongoing throughout the state under the initiative of the current state government. Agartala Pur Nigam, with the help of the state government, is working to beautify the city of Agartala. The work is already underway. In his welcome speech at the event, Commissioner of Agartala Pur Nigam Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav said that the renovation and beautification of these three reservoirs will be undertaken in Project 2.0. The renovation and beautification of Central Road Pond will cost 2 crore 78 lakh rupees, Ujan Abhaynagar Bazar Pond will cost 3 crore 1 lakh rupees, and Ujan Abhaynagar Veterinary Hospital Reservoir will cost 2 crore 47 lakh rupees. Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor Parishad Hiralal Debnath and Corporator Ratna Dutta also spoke on the occasion. FD JK
