Police arrests a gang of four drug peddlers including a woman

Agartala, Nov 22 (FD) Four persons including a young woman and three of his accomplices have been arrested by police from Laxminarayan bari at the heart of the capital city on Thursday last, police today said.

Police also seized brown sugar from their possession, who were identified as Deepika Debnath, Jalil Mia, Pritam Das and Akash Debnath.

The officer-in-charge of the East Agartala police station, Rana Chaterjee said, when a police case was registered against the arrested persons, police also seized Rs 7,500 in cash and a mobile phone from their possession.

He said several rackets of drug peddlers, between the ages 20-30 are active in the city and police are alert about their activities. FD JK
