PM’s visit: Security beefed up, bullet proof cars and SPG arrived in the state

Agartala, Dec 16 (FD) A security blanket was thrown in and around the capital city and three bullet proof cars and a jammer vehicle have been dispatched from Delhi in view of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on Sunday, official sources said.
Three bullet proof cars and a ‘jammer vehicle’ were dispatched by a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force (AIF), sources said adding that a team of highly trained commandos of Special Protection Group (SPG) have arrived in the state.
Sources said that according to the final programme schedule, Prime Minister would land to the Gopinath Bordoloi airport in Guwahati in the morning by a special air force plane and from there he would fly for Shillong by a special MI-17 helicopter to attend a meeting of the North-East Council. After the meeting he would fly back to Guwahati by helicopter and again fly for Agartala by plane.
He would be received at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Devbarma and other dignitaries.
Prime Minister will address a rally from Swami Vivekanda Maidan and virtually inaugurate number of development projects and fly back to Delhi. FD JK
