Agartala, Apr 16 (FD) Former Tripura Chief Minister and candidate for the West Tripura parliamentary constituency, Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give a message for the nation from Agartala during his address tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference here in a hotel he said, Prime Minister is coming to address here on the last day of the campaign of the first phase of the parliamentary elections and it is presumed that he will give a message to the nation from here.
“It is a matter of pride for the people of the state as the prime minister is coming here to address the nation on the last day of the campaign. It is a common practice that PM Modi gives his message on the last day of campaign”, he told reporters.
He expressed his confidence that BJP would secure more than 350 seats and give a new orientation of developments in the country.
Deb also said that the opposition parties, who have formed an alliance in the name of INDIA is not at all united or else they would not publish their separate manifesto for the general elections.
“When we are in NDA, we have not given any separate manifesto, but when the allies of the INDIA block are giving separate manifestos it is clearly understood that they are not united”, he said.
Deb also slammed the opposition Congress and CPI-M in the state for forging an alliance.
“Once they were enemies and attacked each other and suddenly became friends. It only shows that they are opportunistic parties and have come to a common platform for their self interests”, he said. FD JK
