PM Modi inaugurates and lays foundation stone of 12 projects for Tripura virtually

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stone of about 12 projects worth 8,534 crore rupees for Tripura virtually during his visit to Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday. The important projects, include construction of Agartala Western Bypass.
PM Modi also launched projects, including tap connections for 1.46 lakh rural households and laid stone for the Agartala Western Bypass and multiple road projects. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Land Port at the Integrated Check Post at Sabroom in South Tripura constructed at a cost of about Rs 230 crore. The newly developed Sabroom ICP Land Port is located along the international border between India and Bangladesh and facilitates cargo and passenger movement upto Chittagong port in Bangladesh. The foundation stone of the Sabroom Land Port was laid by the Prime Minister in March 2021.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who was present alongwith six ministers from his cabinet, East Tripura Lok Sabha MP Rebati Tripura and senior Government officials, said that Tripura's developmental pace is consistently high under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized that without developing the Northeast, overall development in India is not possible. He thanked the Act East Policy, because of which he said Tripura is now witnessing development in true sense.
Chief Minister Dr Saha said that the ICP Sabroom will enhance the connectivity, trade and tourism between the North East Region and Bangladesh. Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, these projects will script a new chapter of development in the state.
