Pijush Biswas along with four other leaders join TMC

Agartala, Dec 8 (FD)  Former Tripura Pradesh Congress president and prominent lawyer of the state  Pijush Kanti Biswas along with four party leaders have joined the Trinamool Congress in New Delhi, a party statement said here today.

Biswas and other leaders joined Trinamool Congress in Delhi in presence of party president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yesterday.

Besides Biswas, former general secretaries of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Tejen Das and Ananta Banerjee, former TPCC working president Purnita Chakma and Bimal Rudra Paul of the Tripura Youth Congress joined the TMC, according to a party statement issued here today.

The statement said, “With an aim to work for the betterment of Tripura, former INC State President Shri Pijush Kanti Biswas joined our Trinamool family”. FD JK
