India were 172 without loss in their second innings against Australia at stumps on day 2 of the first Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth, Australia. The Visitors now have a lead of 218 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal on unbeaten 90 and K. L. Rahul on 62 Not out were at the crease.
Earlier, the hosts resumed their first innings with an overnight score of 67 for seven in their first innings but were bundled out for 104 at lunch, losing the remaining three wickets in the morning session. Skipper Jasprit Bumrah led the Indian Bowling attack with a stunning five- wicket haul, while Harshit Rana took three wickets. Mohammad Siraj took the remaining two wickets.
