Agartala, Nov 4 (FD) Agartala Press Club and the Peerless Hospital of Kolkata on Saturday put pen on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide health care support to journalists and their families.
The Deputy Managing Director of Peerless Hospital, Rabindra Pai and Assistant General Manager (Marketing) of Peerless Hospital, Anup Bhakta signed the MoU on behalf of the hospital, when President of the Agartala Press Club, Jayanta Bhattacharya and Secretary Ramakanta De signed it on behalf of the journalists.
At the outset, a lamp was lighted jointly by Mr. Pai and Bhattacharya in presence of the specialists doctors of the esteemed hospital.
As per the MoU, journalists and their family members will be entitled to a generous 10 percent discount on medical treatments at Peerless Hospital. Additionally, a substantial 15 percent discount will be extended for tests and a 10 percent discount will apply to over-the-counter medication purchases at Peerless Hospital.
Moreover, the collaboration encompasses the provision of complimentary transportation for patients from Kolkata Airport to Peerless Hospital, facilitated by fully equipped ambulance services.
Furthermore, medical packages will be made more accessible with a 10 percent discount for those covered under this agreement.
The commitment of the Peerless Hospital extends to assisting in securing discounted accommodations in hotels or rest houses for those who notify the hospital in advance.
Eminent oncologists Dr. Shaubnik Shatapati, Dr. Abhishek Dutta, and Dr. Pragati Singhal from Peerless Hospital delivered their lectures in the awareness programme.
Following the informative discussions, these cancer specialists generously provided free advice to patients as needed.
