Agartala, April 12 (FD) Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, emphasized the importance of formulating both short-term and long-term strategies for building a developed India. He was speaking at a symposium titled ‘Future Road Map – Northeast India: 2030 and Beyond’, organized by Assam Rifles at Hotel Polo Towers on Friday evening.
Speaking at the event, Governor Reddy highlighted the immense potential of the North-East region, citing its rich biodiversity, natural resources, skilled workforce, and vibrant cultural diversity. He noted that due to the consistent and dedicated efforts of the Central Government, peace has been firmly established in the region, creating a strong foundation for economic growth and prosperity.
The Governor expressed confidence that the symposium would bring forward meaningful discussions on challenges and opportunities ahead for the North-East and contribute valuable suggestions for policy and development.
Reddy also stressed that the strategic geographical location of the region positions it as a vital contributor to the nation’s growth trajectory.
During the program, Governor Indra Sena Reddy was felicitated by Lieutenant General A.S. Pentharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding of 3 Corps.
Prominent speakers included Professor Dr. Prabhu Dey from RIS, Dr. Sreeradha Dutta from Jindal Global University, and Brigadier Rajdeep Chanda of the National Defence College, New Delhi.
Brigadier Manish Rana, SM, Commander of 21 Sector Assam Rifles, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, appreciating the enthusiastic participation of all attendees. FD SB
