Agartala, Dec 18 (FD) As part of the nationwide protest against financial corruptions of one of the top industrialists, Gautam Adani and the present situation in Manipur, the opposition Congress today conducted ‘Rajbhavan Abhijan’.
Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, Asish Kumar Saha said that this programme was undertaken by the Tripura unit at the instructions of the AICC to all the state units that they would organise a “Rajbhavan Abhijan” against brazen corruptions of Gautam Adani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence about the Manipur issue in which many people were killed, thousands had taken refuge in camps and many houses were damaged and many women were raped.
A big procession of the party started its journey from the Congress Bhavan here and gathered at the circuit house where the TPCC President, Saha delivered his lectures.
Earlier, Pradesh Congress spokesperson, Prabir Chakraborty had briefed the press about the routes of the procession.
Saha further said, “Why the Prime Minister is silent about the corruptions of Adani and the riot situation at Manipur? When the parliament is boiling on the above mentioned issues, we also cannot remain silent. But what astonishes us that how the P.M could keep his mouth closed on the subjects. Our party wants to make people of the country aware about the issue”. FD JK
