Agartala, April 24 (FD) The ONGC Super 30 coaching program in Agartala has once again delivered outstanding results, with 26 out of 30 students from its current batch successfully clearing the prestigious JEE Main 2025 examination.
The initiative, launched in 2021 by ONGC Limited in collaboration with the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), aims to provide free, high-quality residential coaching for meritorious students from economically weaker sections.
This 11-month fully residential program supports both boys and girls from families earning less than ₹2.4 lakh annually. The Agartala center specifically caters to underprivileged students from Tripura and has, to date, empowered over 100 aspiring engineers to pursue their dreams of studying at premier institutions such as the IITs and NITs.
Admission to the program is based on a rigorous two-stage selection process comprising a written test and an academic interview, ensuring only the most deserving candidates are selected. The success of the Agartala batch adds to the growing impact of ONGC’s Super 30 initiative, which operates similar centers across India, including in Sivasagar, Srinagar, Kangra, Jalgaon, and Golaghat.
The successful students were honored at a felicitation ceremony held on Thursday at the Agartala Press Club, where CSRL Project Head Biswajit Dasgupta applauded their hard work and dedication. The achievements of these students reflect the life-changing role played by educational support initiatives like ONGC Super 30. FD SB
