One more retrenched teacher of 10323 dies, death toll rises to 154

Agartala, Apr 2 (FD) With the demise of one more retrenched teacher of 10323, the total number of death toll rose to 154.
The deceased Ashim Kumar Deb breathed his last on Saturday morning at his residence in Madhya Tongibari under Dharmanagar sub-division at the age of 47.
Deb is survived by his wife, a child and his old mother.
The state government is still biding time to take a decision on the report submitted recently by its appointed two member committee.
It is learnt that Deb had been suffering from diabetes and kidney related problems but he did not have the financial wherewithal to undergo treatment.
Sources said that ever since losing his job Asim Kumar Deb had been passing days in extreme penury and deep depression and for a period he worked in a ration shop also for survival. He was known as a very honest and upright man.

Shortly after receiving news of his death the member of CPI (M)’s Dharma Nagar subdisional committee secretariat Sasanka Majumder and secretary of the Kameshwar local committee Kanchan Deb visited his house and conveyed condolences. FD PD JK
