Agartala, Jan 04 (FD) Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to uplift all backward communities including the ‘Other backward Communities’ as a result of which people in the country want BJP comes to centre as well as in the state, OBC Morcha National president K. Laxman said on Wednesday.
Addressing a rally organized by Tripura Pradesh unit of OBC Morcha, he said, “Modi after becoming Prime Minister of the country in 2014 worked for uplifting the backward classes as a result the people of the backward communities want Modi-led BJP government”.
The OBC Morcha president appealed to the OBC voters of the state to exercise their franchises to bring BJP government in power for the second term in Tripura.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said, Congress will not get a single seat in the upcoming assembly polls and the Congress voters will not cast their votes to CPIM as well.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi means development, whatever the Prime Minister promised he gave to the people.
People of North-eastern states of India never felt they were the respected citizens of the country but when Modi-led BJP government come into power in 2014, the people of the region got that confidence to think that they are respectable citizens of the country, National vice president of BJP and incumbent MP Dilip Ghosh said.
He claimed that there are more representatives from ST, SC and OBC communities in the BJP-led government as compared to other parties.
Ghosh said, there are a maximum number of MPs and MLAs from ST, SC and OBC communities in the BJP led government.
He said the BJP government is also working towards women empowerment under the clear vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
